The Chief Business Officer leads a team of professional and technical accounting and payroll audit staff who work together to ensure that the school remains fiscally solvent and complies with California school accounting, budgeting, and reporting requirements. The Chief Business Officer is responsible for establishing the directional focus for the school budget and serves as a resource for Steele Canyon High School staff and the Board. This position works under the supervision of the CEO/Principal.
Any combination equivalent to: A Master's degree in Finance (MBA preferred): Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 10 years of increasingly responsible experience in financial management, and accounting with at least 5 years senior financial leadership experience in a charter school or public school preferred. Experience in California public school accounting, finance, budgeting, audit procedures, and federally funded programs and reporting required.
Steele Canyon High School educates approximately 2150 students being served by approximately 160 staff members and is situated on a beautiful campus in San Diego's East County.
