Plan, organize, and oversee the operations and activities of the PARC Department, including human resources, financial, and payroll and retirement functions.
Participate in the processing, auditing, approval, maintenance and completion of related payroll and retirement documents and reports.
Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures.
Support, train and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; interview and select employees and recommend transfers, reassignments, terminations and disciplinary actions; identify and prepare documents related to personnel issues.
Communicate effectively with school district staff, outside agencies, and internal departments to provide information and assist in the resolution of questions and issues.
Develop and conduct large and small workshops to provide on-going training and direction to school district human resource, payroll and benefit personnel supported by SCOE on proper methods, procedures and regulations pertaining to school personnel, payroll, retirement, and tax related issues.
Attend and participate in conferences and workshops held by outside agencies as necessary and appropriate to stay abreast of issues concerning school payroll processing and reporting requirements.
REQUIREMENTS: SCOE Ed-Join Application - Bachelor's Degree in related field or four years of increasingly responsible payroll experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred. A combination of education, training, and experience that could provide the desired skills, knowledge and abilities may be considered.
