It is divided into three divisions: Business Services, Educational Services and Human Resources. An Associate Superintendent oversees each division and a variety of programs, such as Child Development, Child Welfare & Attendance, Special Education, Nutrition Services and Transportation.
Modesto City Schools also offers a Beginning Teachers Support and Assessment Program (BTSA) with a state approved Induction Curriculum by which new teachers attain their Professional Clear Credential. Recognizing that as educators, we are life-long learners, Modesto City Schools offers extensive staff development opportunities to all employees: managers, teachers and classified staff. We also strategically recruit, hire and retain the highest quality employees that reflect the diverse population of our schools and community.
