Scotts Valley Unified is seeking an experienced and skilled leader to guide our business department. We are are a small district with a family feel, high performing schools, and an active and supportive school community.
At the direction of the Superintendent, the CBO plans, organizes, administers, directs, and coordinates the business and support functions of the District including but not limited to budgeting, accounting, student attendance, purchasing, food services, maintenance, operations, risk management, information systems and student body accounting.
Experience: Prior experience in school business administration desirable or equivalent experience in a comparable public or private sector acceptable.
Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, business, or related field; a master’s degree in business, finance, or accounting and/or valid CPA certification is desirable ... OR... Any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to a college degree in business, finance, or accounting

We are small, comprehensive public school district in the beautiful redwood mountains, located 5 minutes from Santa Cruz and 20 minutes from San Jose. The district is comprised of 4 schools - two elementary, a middle school, and a high school, and our total enrollment is about 2100 students.
