Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent, Business Support Services, this position is responsible for implementing and administering comprehensive District fiscal procedures in the areas of Accounting, Budget and Finance, Payroll and Fringe Benefits; Assists with the planning, organizing, staffing, managing, directing, and evaluating all aspects of the District’s Fiscal Support Services; Administers the budget process and District appropriations and expenditures; Directs the maintenance of the district’s budget, supply accounts, charter school funds and projections; Exercises control over expenditures for conformance to budget, accounting standards, and funding guidelines for district programs and funds; Provides technical expertise, information and assistance to decision makers; Supervises and evaluates the performance of assigned staff.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in business/public administration, accounting, financial management or closely related field (required); Master’s degree in business/public administration, educational administration, accounting, finance, or related field (desirable); Completion of courses in school fiscal administration and education (desirable)
Experience Required: A minimum of three (3) years demonstrated experience in the areas of budget development/management, payroll systems, accounting systems, Health & Welfare (required)
Licenses, Certifications, Bonding and/or Testing Required: Valid CA Driver’s License and evidence of insurability; Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance, and negative pre-employment drug screen test/negative TB results; Certifications from CASBO, CASH, and/or ACSA in school business administration, construction management, or labor relations (desirable)
Lake Elsinore Unified School District (LEUSD) boundaries stretch over 144 square miles through Southwest Riverside County, serving families in Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake, and Wildomar, and several unincorporated Riverside County communities, including Lakeland Village and Horsethief Canyon.
Our earliest schools began serving the valley during the 1880s, a few years before the City of Lake Elsinore's incorporation (1888). In 1988, Elsinore Union High School District unified with the Elsinore Elementary District (K-8) to form LEUSD. Over 140 years later, the legacy of education at LEUSD continues serving over 21 000 TK- 12th-grade students district at 25 schools, including alternative education programs.

Measure V ...is a $105 million bond to support facilities and improvements, technology to support innovative instruction, new classroom construction, school safety, campus security enhancements, renovations to playfields, athletics, performing arts, and music, and improving energy efficiency district wide.
