Salary Details:
Salary placement will be on Range 47 of the Management Salary Schedule. Initial salary placement for new employees is customarily at step 1 ($171,194 per year) of this salary range.

THE POSITION Under the general direction of the Associate Superintendent of Business Services, provides leadership, implementation, development, direction, assessment, and evaluation of the District’s facilities, operations, capital projects and related activities; oversees the improvement, modernization, and new construction of District facilities; reviews, analyzes, and audits implementation of various capital and specialized facilities and maintenance projects; assists the Associate Superintendent of Business Services as directed.
The Ideal Candidate Will....
Possess demonstrated facilities management experience, strong technical knowledge, and expertise in a community college or school district setting.
Possess working knowledge of state, federal, and local construction laws, regulations, codes, and regulations related to health and safety.
Be able to develop, monitor, and administer a department budget.
Be able to plan and organize large-scale facilities and modernization projects funded by Bonds, COPs, and other funds.
Be able to supervise and provide leadership to assigned staff, ensuring superior individual and team performance.
Be able to prioritize the use of fiscal and material resources to maximize organizational effectiveness.
Be able to make sound decisions and choose optimal courses of action in a timely manner.
Be able to work in collaboration with a diverse group of people and organizations at all levels such as engineers, internal departments, field staff, and other Districts and agencies (DSA, OPSC, SBE, local city/county planning department, etc.)

Education:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a major in Business Administration, Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Planning/Management, Construction Management, or closely related field; a Master’s degree is desirable.
Experience:
Six years of experience in large-scale capital projects, facilities planning, construction management, maintenance, and operations at a community college district or school district, including four years of experience in a management or supervisory role.
Special:
Possession of a valid California Class C Driver License.
Evidence of adequate insurance for a motor vehicle, which meets or exceeds the California legal liability insurance requirement and continues to maintain insurability.
