Under general direction, to assist the Assistant Superintendent - Business Services in planning, organizing and reporting the accounting and budgeting functions of the District; to plan, organize and supervise the functions and activities of the District’s central accounting department; and to perform related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:

Required:    A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in accounting, business administration or a related field; experience in financial management involving professional accounting and budgeting procedures, including experience in the use of computer - assisted accounting/budgeting systems and supervision of a staff of accounting personnel.

Desirable:   Experience in managing public school accounting procedures.
