Under administrative direction of the Deputy Superintendent for Administrative Services or Chief Business Official, plans, organizes, directs, manages and implements the district's risk management program including Workers' Compensation, safety, injury and illness prevention, loss control, claims and liability; develops and conducts training on safety issues to PUSD employees; and investigates and makes recommendations on safety compliance, incidents, and claims, in alignment with the District's strategic plan and equity policy. Coordinates liability insurance as it relates to district property, employees and student personnel; and supervises assigned technical and clerical personnel. Direct supervisor of risk management staff.
Five years of experience managing risk management programs, three (3) years' experience at a professional level directly involved in the administration of a risk management program in a public or private entity of comparable size to the District. This experience should include property and general liability insurance, loss control, safety, and workers' compensation, including three years managing and directing professional staff.
