The Rowland Unified School District is seeking an outstanding manager to assume the responsibilities of Director of Transportation Services. This is a one position exempt classification assigned twelve (12) months per year.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent - Administrative Services, plans, organizes, and directs the District's student transportation program, including pupil busing services and fleet maintenance; communicates with the various internal and external customers of the program to assure that excellent service is being provided; develops goals and objectives for the department; prepares and implements preventive maintenance, equipment replacement and bus scheduling programs; performs management duties including budget development, policy maintenance, public relations and special project analysis and implementation; trains, directs, supervises and evaluates assigned staff.

EDUCATION: Graduation from high school or equivalency is required. College course work in business administration or a related field is desirable.
EXPERIENCE:Five years of transportation experience, including two years of supervisory experience in transportation is required. Pupil transportation experience is desirable.
A valid Class C, California Driver License is required. Possession of a School Bus Driver Instructor's Certificate from the California Highway Patrol is desirable, but not required.
