The Sacramento City Unified School District is looking for a Chief Business Officer.
This senior management position plans, organizes, controls, directs, and administers the successful implementation of the District’s financial and business operations; implements programs to assure the financial stability of the District; develops and administers financial plans and budgets; and assures related activities comply with established standards, requirements, internal controls, laws, codes, regulations, policies, and procedures.
An important role of the Chief Business Officer will be to create a structure incorporating the District’s annual budget process with the Local Control Accountability Plan and Single Plans for Student Achievement using the Guiding Principles Core Values. The District is the 13th largest district in the state and one of the largest employers in the region.

The successful candidate will have:
Any combination equivalent to: master’s degree in finance, business or public administration, accounting, finance, or related field
Seven years increasingly responsible fiscal and business management or supervisory experience in a school system
Additional Salary Information: An annual $3,000 stipend for doctorate and an annual salary stipend of $4,800 is added for in-district travel and expenses, plus 100% employee-only health benefits and 50% family (based on Kaiser rates), as well as dental, vision, and life.
