Director – Accounting, Director – Financial Services
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The job of Executive Director, Fiscal Services is done for the purpose(s) of directing and administering all programs assigned to Fiscal Services, fiscal resources, internal food services, internal budgeting, payroll, accounting, charter school fiscal oversight, coordinating and providing fiscal reporting and monitoring, and internal business technical functions. The incumbent supervises and coordinates audits of internal financial transactions; manages and coordinates with other personnel as required to accomplish required tasks; and perform other job related work as required. This is designated as a Classified Management position and is part of the Management Leadership Team.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Three years of responsible and successful experience with a school district or governmental agency is required in the areas of budgeting, accounting and/or auditing which would demonstrate exposure to and utilization of required skills, knowledge and abilities in performing the job related duties and responsibilities. Recent public school experience is highly desirable.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or closely related field from an accredited College/University is required. Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.

As an organization, it is comprised of the elected Riverside County Superintendent of Schools and the array of individuals employed by the County Superintendent to help fulfill their statutory duties and responsibilities. A seven member elected County Board of Education is affiliated with the RCOE.
