The primary responsibility of the Executive General Manager (GM) is to develop and maintain the overall health and quality of changing the odds for students within the state of California. The Executive GM supports the breadth of services that THINK Together provides throughout California via regular travel to the multiple regions at Think Together. Working within and through the Regional “distribution platform” utilized within Think, this position is responsible for leading a host of regional leaders. Examples include, but are not limited to programs delivered at both public and private locations including pre-school though high school/older youth programs, AmeriCorps, School-Age Care (SAC), summer programming, staff development and training, and recognition programs.
The Executive GM supervises the Regional Leaders who serve from 100 to 600 employees per region. This position is responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality program and the successful and consistent implementation of all operational activities such as regional hiring and employee management, volunteer recruitment, budget and resource utilization, customer satisfaction and region related matters. S/he is responsible for the retention of partners, including schools, school districts and other local stakeholders and for the ensuring the strategic goals of the organization are met through the Regional Leaders.
Contributing to financial health of the organization through business development, partnership expansion and participation on the Strategic Partnership Team is an essential component of the job. S/he plans for and communicates resource requirements and supports the sustainability strategies of the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains consistent, timely and honest communication with the Deputy Chief of Program and Operations DCPO.
Partners with the DCPO to develop and plan strategic initiatives around program and operations for the organization.
Works with all regional leadership to ensure compliance with California Department of Education requirements for After School Education and Safety Programs and other CDE-funded programs as required and appropriate.
Works with all regional leadership to ensure organizational policies, protocols and procedures are implemented with consistency and fidelity at all times.
Works with all regional leadership to ensure all organizational strategic plans are implemented with fidelity.
In conjunction with Regional Leaders, participate in appropriate after school-related meetings and activities sponsored by the CDE and the After School Regional Lead system.
Lead Regional Leaders to ensure all contractual obligations to school districts, partners and other funders are met, as required.
In concurrence with Regional Leaders, ensures that superintendents and school administrators are experiencing strong working relationships and positive customer satisfaction.
Works closely with the regional leadership and the Strategic Partnership team to develop opportunities for growth and executes the organization’s sustainability strategies.
Responsible for the professional development of Regional Leaders.
Work with Regional Leaders to meet all program and performance expectations, monitor the end results and hold staff accountable for strengthening both program and performance.
Ensure that regional leaders are developing and monitoring direct reports to plan and managing an appropriate budget, reporting anticipated variances and managing expenditures.
Forecast staffing demand and requirements and devise strategies to fill needs by maintaining frequent, collaborative and effective communication with Human Capital Department.
Contribute to strategic plan preparation, resource planning for new site development goals and launch of new programs.
Conduct consistent site visits with and without regional leadership to ensure fidelity of implementation of program quality, policy, and protocols.
Support organizational culture and employee engagement throughout all regions in the organization.
Provide thought leadership in all aspects of staff development and programming.
Stay current on educational trends and developments, practice “passionate curiosity” about THINK Together’s work.
Be open to “current best thinking” which ensures that THINK Together supports all students that participate in program.
Complete supervisory responsibilities in a timely and thorough manner.
Maintain highest degree of confidentiality in student, staff and management matters.
Consistent use of data to guide, plan and adapt program and operations.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Master's degree in educational leadership and management, or equivalent
At least 7 years of increasingly responsible positions within the education environment with at least five years of people management experience.
Experience with educational program implementation.
Experience providing hands-on, interactive training and simulations to adults.
At least three years of supervisory or leadership positions with hiring and planning responsibilities, preference for experience as a school site principal and district administration of programs across multiple sites.
Proven planning and implementation experience in educational environment.
Strong track record of monitoring, tracking, and achieving goals.
