The Governing Board of the Ramona Unified School District is seeking a highly-qualified Superintendent to lead the district forward.
Ramona Unified School District (RUSD) is an award-winning rural Pre-K through 12 school district located approximately 30 miles northeast of San Diego. Serving a student population of approximately 5,500 students. RUSD's net product is to provide the opportunity of total life skills success for the students served; through the teaching of virtue, healthy body, a classical liberal arts core, STEM education, a commitment to "Project Lead the Way", the arts, and CTE curriculum, along with instilling civic responsibility (through an appreciation of America's unique heritage and founders' vision) in preparing each student for an eventual career and/or through the path of higher education.
The District Superintendent shall be the chief executive and chief administrative officer of the District working directly for the Board of Education. The management of the school district, in all its aspects, shall be delegated to the Superintendent, who shall carry out management functions in accordance with the vision, goals, and policies provided by the Board and shall carry out the educational mission of the district as reflected in the Board Goals and Philosophy.
This position requires a valid California Administrative Services credential and at least three (3) years’ experience in public K-12 school administration. Master’s degree preferred.
The successful candidate will be offered a contract with a competitive and negotiable salary based on qualifications, experience, and skill set.
