Under general direction, this management position will perform high-level audit, accounting, and payroll functions; prepare and reconcile reports; review, audit, and update account codes and databases. Plan, train, lead, supervise, and evaluate the work of payroll staff while being a high-level, professional, hands-on contributor. As a Lead in the Accounting Department, assist other departments and interface with governmental representatives in reporting information and assuring regulatory payroll compliance. Play an intricate role in budget preparation and payroll budget management.
Three to five years of progressively responsible accounting, auditing, financial, payroll, or related experience with two years in a school district preferred. One year of supervisory experience highly desirable.
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or a closely related field or three to five years of increasing experience in a school district or public agency environment.
