The Human Resources Coordinator position requires frequent communication and cooperation with all District departments and school sites. Additionally, significant interaction with outside agencies, other governmental agencies and the public is required. It is necessary that this position provide assistance to the Superintendent, Managers, Site Administrators and staff that requires a high level of responsibility, confidentiality and has a higher consequence of error. This position performs work which is complex in nature and is required to solve broadly defined problems of a technical nature.
Key Abilities Needed:
Establish and maintain a variety of record keeping systems and files; including, but not limited to, financial and statistical reports related to payroll, leaves, and employee benefits;
Identify and correct errors in mathematical computations and financial documents;
Communicate effectively in both oral and written forms;
Work accurately under pressure.
Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of hiring regulations, teacher credentialing, customer service, labor relations and human resource information systems;
Modern office methods and procedures including business report/correspondence writing;
Use of proper English, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, and punctuation; California school accounting requirements;
Fundamental methods and procedures utilized in recruitment, selection, hiring, classification and salaries.

Additional Salary Information: ll full time employees will receive a district contribution of $14,000 annually towards a health benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision for the employee and all eligible dependents.

About Aromas-San Juan USD
The Aromas-San Juan Unified School District arose from a grassroots, unification effort initiated by parents seeking student-centered, community-oriented schooling for their children. This small, rural school district lies five miles east of Monterey Bay at the intersection of Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz Counties. Operations began in July 1991. High school classes began in fall 1994.
The District currently provides services to approximately 1150 students in three schools: Aromas School (K-8), San Juan School (K-8), and Anzar High School. The District operates a state preschool. ASJUSD students represent a multi-cultural population that is predominately White and Latino.
